Mark Skehan is a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist in Limerick. After Membership he did a Masters’ Degree in Liverpool University specializing in Urogynaecology. He then spent five years as specialist in the British Hospital in Paris before returning to Limerick.

Mark is a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with a public appointment at University Hospital Limerick and Ennis General Hospital. He graduated with honours degrees in both dentistry and medicine and subsequently underwent 5-years of higher surgical training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the South West of England.
During his training he was exposed to the full remit of the speciality including Head & Neck cancer management and it’s reconstruction. In his final year of training, he was appointed as a Trainee Interface Group (TIG) Fellow in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery on the London rotation via UK national recruitment and this provided him with high volume exposure to Orthognathic Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery with some of the UK’s most highly regarded surgeons in these fields. In 2018, the European Association of Cranio-maxillo-facial Surgeons awarded him the Hugo Obwegeser travelling scholarship, and this enabled him gain further experience in Maxillofacial Units in Germany.
Mark has published numerous articles in the maxillofacial literature and was awarded a Master of Surgery degree by the Royal College of Surgeon in Ireland in 2014. He is involved with supervision and teaching of medical students and of senior surgical trainees in OMFS. He is a post-graduate examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
He has had considerable success in sport in the past having represented Ireland at two European Junior Rowing Championships which culminated in him wining two gold medals and one bronze medal. In more recent times, he enjoys sailing the West Coast in his spare time.

The Dietitian Clinic is a dietitian led clinic established in 2016 by Niamh Murphy. Niamh is a clinical dietitian working at University Hospital Limerick. A native of Clare, she graduated from Trinity College Dublin & Dublin Institute of Technology with an honours degree in Human Nutrition and graduate diploma in Dietetics. Niamh has since worked as a dietitian consultant for a large Irish company and lectured Nutrition courses at Limerick College of Further Education. She has a keen interest in research and patient education where she has contributed in the publication of national dietetic information booklets specifically; Nutrition and Dementia, Nourish; nutrition in cancer and Paediatric type 1 diabetes, nutrition management.

A Native of Co Clare, Elizabeth graduated from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Podiatric Medicine. Upon qualifying, Elizabeth worked as a Community Specialists Podiatrist for the NHS and upon returning home to Ireland in 2008 as a HSE Community Podiatrist. Since 2012 Elizabeth has worked as a Senior Podiatrist in University Hospital Limerick where she established a high-risk diabetic foot care service under the National Diabetic Foot Care Programme.
Elizabeth is skilled in all aspects of Podiatry and specialises in diabetes care, wound care, rheumatology and vascular conditions.
